Where the long view takes shape

.avif)
Building carefully for a relationship that unfolds across decades.
The first months at Arrowroot Wealth Advisors are spent learning your life alongside learning your numbers — what you want your money to make possible, what worries you at three in the morning. The portfolio, the tax picture, and the cash flow get pulled together once the picture they fit into is clear. By the time a plan reaches paper, you and your senior advisor will have built an understanding that will guide the decades that follow.
How the first year takes shape
Weeks 1-2
Weeks 1-2
First conversation
The first meeting is open-ended and unhurried. You'll talk with the senior advisor who would handle the relationship if you became a client, the same person who would be writing your plan and answering your calls. You'll explain what brought you here, what you're working through, and what you'd want from a long advisory relationship.
The advisor will walk you through how the firm works, what gets looked at, and what would come next if we moved forward. By the end, you'll have a sense of whether this is the right fit for the next several decades.

Months 1-2
Months 1-2
Discovery
This is where the deeper work begins. Over weeks of conversations, your advisor builds a working picture of your life: where you grew up, what shaped your relationship with money, what your family looks like now, and what you're trying to build. The financial picture starts coming together at the same time. Accounts are pulled into one view, tax history reviewed, estate documents read, and cash flow mapped.
The conversations unfold across multiple sessions because no real picture forms in ninety minutes.

Months 2-3
Months 2-3
Drafting the plan
Once your advisor knows enough, they sit down to write the plan personally. It's a document that distills everything they've heard and everything they've reviewed into concrete recommendations: how to think about your portfolio, what to do about taxes this year and next, where to address gaps in your estate documents, how to position cash, and where insurance might earn its place.
The recommendations are written line by line by the same person who has been listening to you for months. The draft arrives in your hands before any meeting, with the reasoning behind each call laid out for you to read on your own time.

Month 3
Months 3
Plan review
Once you've had time with the draft, you and the senior advisor walk through it together. You ask questions, push back where something needs to change, and add what the conversations missed. The advisor explains tradeoffs and alternatives, and adjusts based on your input.
By the end of the review, the plan in front of you is one you've shaped through your own questions, and the work moves forward on your say-so.

Months 3-6
Months 3-6
Putting it to work
With the plan agreed, the work of putting it in motion begins. Accounts get transferred where they need to be, the portfolio gets rebuilt around the recommendations, tax actions get scheduled for the windows that matter, estate updates get teed up with your attorney, and insurance gaps get addressed.
Each piece moves in sequence, with your senior advisor close to each step. The implementation usually takes about three months, depending on the complexity of the picture.

Beyond Year 1
Beyond Year 1
Through every change
Year one looks like every year that follows. Your senior advisor stays the same person, meeting with you quarterly to review the portfolio, the tax picture, and what's shifted in your life.
When a market turns, when a child gets married, when a job ends, when an opportunity comes along that didn't exist last year, the advisor who already knows your situation is the one you call. Adjustments to the plan happen when life requires them, rather than on a calendar.
